This was a true winter wonder. Despite temps in the 50s midweek, a foot of new snow blanketed the woods Sunday morning, with a light breeze, more falling snow, and just the right temperature, turning Wiessner Woods in into a winter wonderland. We trudged along on snowshoes, made angels, threw snowballs, looked for forest faeries, hid under snow covered fir trees, looked out for snow elephants, and ate homemade oatmeal raisin cookies.
